Today by reading a newspaper I've found a strange news. There's a website which girls can join, getting an avatar like in Second Life, make it pretty enough, rent a virtual apartment, fill it with the most fashioned furniturs and then... wait for a virtual boyfriend to come. Of course, the virtual boyfriend is an avatar of a real human being. The website is http://www.ipart.cn/

It's a website of Mainland China, but owned by a taiwanese company. Almost used by Chinese from Mainland China, but aslo by Taiwanese. Basically, once a girl (almost students and employees) chought a virtual boyfriend, the can begin a virtual reletionship. It can happen that the relationship can become real too. A kind of taking-care game. Something similar exists on Facebook and other social networks. Both are making a lot of money. Why? Maybe because having affective relationships on internet is easier than in the real life, taking care of an electronic being is simplier, without risks, without responsabilities... More or less the same as the old Tamagochi.
Why do we need to look for feelings among the wired world? Probably we wouldn't need, if the society wouldn't force us to stay 12 hour a day in the office, work and live with such high-speed rithm... Is it really worth? blush
